A group of students from an Arts School has finally graduated. While Sun Yixin (Rui En) yearns to go on a tour with Mai Xiaoling (Felicia Chin), she mentions in jest that she will only be able to afford the trip if she lands herself a rich husband.

In a chance encounter, Yixin gets into a heated argument with Hu Guobin (Julian Hee) over a bowl of red bean dessert. She meets She Weixiang (Elvin Ng) and learns that he is in the e-commerce business dealing with second-hand fashion. Weixiang readily agrees to loan her an evening gown to attend a social function.

Yixin takes over the cleaning company where her mother Qun Ma (Xiang Yun) Yixin decides to go on a job assignment herself when she realizes that th is working.e client lives in a posh residential area. The residents are a stubborn grandfather Hu Zhitao (Chen Shucheng) and an unruly grandson, Xiaohao (Kyle Chen Xingyu).

Over time, Yixin is able to win over the pair of Hus. Xiaohao’s father, Hu Guojun (Terence Cao) helps Yixin to re-structure her cleaning company. To Yixin, the wealthy and good-natured Guojun is a good catch and will help her fulfill her dream of becoming a rich woman.


















































































Yixin runs into Weixiang again. Whenever Yixin and Guobin exchange words, they would take it out on Weixiang. However, Weixiang is secretly attracted to the outspoken Yixin.

When Guobin and Anna disagree over differing business opinions, Guobin not only withdraws his share from the dessert shop in a fit of anger but also breaks off with her. Yixin decides to put aside her differences with Guojun and encourages him to start afresh. When Weixiang injects in a huge capital, Yixin finally realizes that he is the son of ‘Yan Jing She’ She Jingyuan, the real estate magnate who had come between Guojun and Siqi.

Guobin picks himself up and romance soon blossoms between Yixin and him. Guobin has always known that Weixiang takes a shine to Yixin. Torn between friendship and romance, Hu Bin is in a dilemma.

































Jingyuan has his sight set on the Hu family’s old house and makes use of Siqi as a go-between. As a result of Siqi’s involvement in the sale transaction, the misunderstanding between Siqi and Guojun deepens. Jingyuan sets out to ruin Guojun financially. Zhitao chooses to save his son over the house and gives up the land deed. Influenced by Zhitao, Siqi also begins to see the importance of strong family ties. When she learns the truth about Jingyuan, she resolutely sells off her own company to help Guojun tide over the financial difficulty.

Anna’s business venture fails and she returns to Guobin, pestering him to move to Taiwan to start afresh. During a fight between Anna, Guobin and Yixin, Anna is knocked down by a vehicle and becomes visually impaired. Guobin is weighed down by his responsibility towards Anna and encourages Yixin to accept Weixiang in the hope that she will fulfill her dream of finding her Prince Charming.

Guojun leaves behind a seashell and a letter for Yixin. In the letter, he makes reference to Yixin’s wish for marriage proposal where the ring is hidden in the seashell. Since he has lost his chance with Yixin, he decides to present his love for her in the form of a seashell.

When Yixin opens up the seashell, she discovers the key to the dessert shop. She turns up, only to find the shop decorated with seashells. She is deeply touched; at this moment, Weixiang makes his appearance bearing a ring...

擅自服用抗生素 美人变丑女

■ 原本美人儿。 ■ 变了丑女。 ■ 吴依玲通过大山脚区国会议员章瑛揭发服用抗生素敏感所引起，一种叫做Steven Johnson Syndrome的反应。

（大山脚25日讯）在咖啡店购买抗生素服用，却换来惨痛的代价，全身长满大水泡且犹如灼伤，女书记险送命。

伤者吴依玲（25岁），为一名女书记，他原是住大山脚成功园，却在双溪大年工作，并住在吉丁莪仑甘榜巴东冷武男友住家。她在今年4月1日下班后有感身体不适服，到了晚上身体发烧，由于当时天色已晚，所以没有直接到医院治疗，由男友陈钦耀（38岁）代她到住家附近咖啡店买药，不料服用后，换来痛苦缠身。

她继说，当天购买的药物，一包内共有6粒3种不同的药丸，售价2令吉，她在晚上10点多临睡前，各别服用1粒，结果在两个小时后约半夜12时许，眼睛开始红肿并流出液体（水膜），第二天舌头及嘴唇也起了水泡。

她在第3天到双溪大年的诊疗所求诊，在医生的劝告后，她转去北海诗布朗再也医院接受治疗，当时，她的身体及脸部已经开始肿胀。

“我在诗布朗再也医院住了一晚后，身体开始出现水泡，由于该医院没有皮肤专科医生，在次日，便转送到槟城中央医院，结果一住就51天。”

她说，在这51天里，全身长满大水泡，10支指甲、脚指甲及头发也更因此全部脱落，令她苦不堪言，虽然病情已经改善，但是天气热燥时，皮肤还是疼养难当。

“目前病情虽已改善，但由于全身皮肤还会发痒，而且起水泡及灼伤的痕迹还在，使她尴尬无法回到工作岗位上。

吴依玲是周二在陈钦耀陪同下，通过大山脚区国会议员章瑛揭发此事。

章瑛：教育群众　勿向没执照者买药

大山脚区国会议员章瑛表示，在她向吴依玲了解后，也曾向有关的皮肤医生作出询问，根据查询得知，抗生素敏感所引起，一种叫做史蒂芬强森症候群（Steven Johnson Syndrome）的反应，据知每2千人中就会有一人发生类似个案，严重的话甚至可能致命。

她呼吁公众勿随意吃药，尤其是抗生素，在服用前，必须向有关医生查询。

她称，抗生素是属于第二组的毒性药物，必须由医生开方，在没有医生药方允许下，是不可售卖的。

“我己经谘询律师，吴依玲有权利起诉卖药者及厂商要求赔偿医药费，因不能工作所蒙受的损失及病况所承受的痛楚赔尝，因为他们非法售卖受手空制药物。

她也建议卫生部通过媒体教育群众勿向没有售卖控制药品执照的业者购买药品，尤其是抗生素，必须由医生开方及按照指示服食。卫生部也应严厉执法，取缔非法售卖抗生素或其他受控制药品的商店。

她表示，将会在国会里提出修改有关法令，规定医生和知情人士必须向有关部门举报非法售卖药品商店，以便能更有效的杜绝这种行为，进而更有效的保护民众。

她表示，根据1951年控制药品法令条文下，非法售卖抗生素最高可罚款不超过5千令吉或坐牢2年或两者兼施。

“如果有关抗生素未向卫生部注册，则刑罚更高，最高可罚款不超过2万5千令吉及坐牢更久。”

¡¤ 吴依玲：药丸是Bactrim

吴依玲说，根据主科医生向咖啡店业主查询，检验结果发现药丸是一种叫做Bactrim的抗生素，而她的状况是对这种抗生素敏感所引起，是一种叫做史蒂芬强森症候群的反应，据知，每年槟城医院都有10多宗类似个案发生，严重的话甚至可能致命。

她表示，目前医生并没有给她服用药物，只是以药膏擦涂，虽然病情已经有了改善，不过在天气热燥时，还会相当疼痒，而且由于眼膜受到影响，视力还不是很好。

“虽然我已经出院了，但是，每两个星期或一个月，都需要到医院复诊，据主治医生的披露，她需要半年至1年的时间才能康复。 ¡¤ 什么是史蒂芬强森症候群(Steven Johnson Syndrome)

史蒂芬强森症候群是一种严重的多形性红斑，其临床特徵包括了特 有的皮疹和黏膜侵犯，其皮疹为典型的虹膜状及标状，黏膜则两处以上之侵犯，常为口、鼻、眼、生殖器及肛门等部份。史蒂芬强森症候群。

导致引发史蒂芬强森症候群的原因是与感染、药品及抵抗力减退之状态有关，但真正发生的原因不明，发生率是不分年龄、种族、季节与性别，每年约的发生率约百万之1..2至6人。

而市面上常引起史蒂芬强森症候群的药物包括磺胺类、非类固醇抗发炎药、抗癫痫药物、降尿酸药、肌肉松弛剂、皮质类固醇、抗焦虑剂。其病程可分为三期：第一期为前驱期，是症状开始之1天至6天，有发烧、倦怠、喉痛、关节痛、结膜炎与皮肤发红等非特异性症状。

而第二期为急性期，约4天至12天，有特续发烧、衰竭、结膜炎及口腔、生殖器的黏膜受损、而其皮肤破损仍持续进行，许多病人有白血球减少现象，主要症状包括红斑及水泡约0..5至3公分、红斑为虹膜状及标的状、血管炎及皮肤表面丧失40％。而第三期则为复原期，约3至10天，在上皮细胞未重建前仍有感染的可能。

史蒂芬强森症候群患者的皮肤护理的主要目标是防二度感染，（一）促进早日下床活动；（二）严守无菌措施，碰触病人前后应洗手；（三）维持伤口清洁乾燥，避免某些病人在意识不清的的情况下，自行用手抓痒而导致破皮之情形；（四）预防感染；（五）监测皮肤之复原情况；（六）监测败血症之徵候；（七）监测体温之变化，如有高烧不止之情形，应立即向医师报告；（八）预防史蒂芬强森症候群最好的方法是减少不必要的药物暴露，如需使用此类药物时，则应定期追踪，一有不良反应，应立即停药。

1. 地瓜 Sweet Potato
地瓜所含的纖維質鬆軟易消化，可促進腸胃蠕動，有助排便。
最棒的吃法是烤地瓜，而且連皮一起烤、一起吃掉，味道爽口甜美。
2. 綠豆 Mung Beans
綠豆具清熱解毒、除濕利尿、消暑解渴的功效，多喝綠豆湯有利於排毒、消腫，不過煮的時間不宜過長，以免有機酸、維生素受到破壞而降低作用。
3. 燕麥 Oats
燕麥能滑腸通便，促使糞便體積變大、水分增加，配合纖維促進腸胃蠕動，發揮通便排毒的作用。
將蒸熟的燕麥打成汁當作飲料來喝是不錯的選擇，攪打時也可加入其他

4. 薏仁 Job's tears

少許的糖，是肌膚美白的天然保養品。
5. 小米 Millet
小米不含麩質，不會刺激腸道壁，是屬於比較溫和的纖維質，容易被消化，因此適合搭配排毒餐食用。
小米粥很適合排毒，有清熱利尿的功效，營養豐富，也有助於美白。
6. 糙米 Brown Rice
糙米就是全米，保留米糠，有豐富的纖維，具吸水、吸脂作用及相當的
飽足感，能整腸利便，有助於排毒。
每天早餐一碗吃糙米粥或來一杯糙米豆漿是不錯的排毒方法。
7. 紅豆 Small Red Beans
可增加腸胃蠕動，減少便祕，促進排尿。
可在睡前將紅豆用電鍋燉煮浸泡一段時間，隔天將無糖的紅豆湯水當開水喝，能有效促進排毒。
8. 胡蘿蔔 Carrot
胡蘿蔔對改善便祕很有幫助，也富含β-胡蘿蔔素，可中和毒素。
新鮮的胡蘿蔔排毒效果比較好，因為它能清熱解毒，潤腸通便，打成汁
再加上蜂蜜、檸檬汁，既好喝又解渴，也有利排毒。
9. 山藥 Yam
山藥可整頓消化系統，減少皮下脂肪沈積，避免肥胖，且增加免疫功能。
以生食排毒效果最好，可將去皮白山藥和鳳梨切小塊，一起打成汁飲用，有健胃整腸的功能。
10. 牛蒡 Lappa
牛蒡可促進血液循環、新陳代謝，並有調整腸道功能的效果，所含的膳食纖維可以保有水分、軟化糞便，有助排毒、消除便祕。
可做成牛蒡茶隨時飲用，長期服用。
11. 蘆筍 Asparagus

13. 蓮藕 Lotus root
蓮藕的利尿作用，能促進體內廢物快速排出藉此淨化血液。
蓮藕冷熱食用皆宜，將蓮藕榨打成汁，可加一點蜂蜜調味直接飲用，
也可以小火加溫，加一點糖，趁溫熱時喝。
14. 白蘿蔔 Radish
蘿蔔有很好的利尿效果，所含的纖維素也可促進排便，利於減肥。
如果想利用蘿蔔來排毒，則適合生食，建議可打成汁或以涼拌、醃漬的
方式來食用。
15. 山茼蒿
山茼蒿含豐富維生素A，可維護肝臟，有助體內毒素排出。
將山茼蒿和柳丁、番茄、胡蘿蔔、柚子、蘋果、綜合堅果等蔬果一起打成精力湯飲用是不錯的選擇。

Shrieks galore at SuperBand semi-finals

It was the night of the SuperBand semi-finals, but nothing about their performances was “semi.” The bands gave it their all, and left the fans with the memory of a night they would not soon forget.

\It was a cool Saturday night but the atmosphere was phenomenally hot. The first of two semi-finals of the SuperBand competition was intense, as six bands: Lucify, J3, SOUL, BRODS, Mantou, and Revival Round Two survivors MiLu Bing duked it out on stage, captivating the fans with their electric performances. Strangely enough, all the remaining bands consist entirely of male members, and the testosterone level in the air made for riveting television. Backstage, we spoke with all the bands about making it this far, and about how they stay on top of their game.

Survivors Three-man band MiLu Bing fought back and came out on top in the Comeback Show 2 last week, which put them through into the semi-finals. When asked how they felt about their victory, Sam summed up their ecstasy and excitement in one word: “Tired.” It’s been hard on them, with less time to prepare for the semi-finals than the other bands. Nic apparently rehearsed till 4-5am for the semi-finals. Was their near elimination somewhat of a wakeup call for the boys? “It wasn’t, because we were doing our best the whole time. We also haven’t done anything to improve or change, because we are already on the top of our game!” insisted Sam. For a band that nearly got eliminated, MiLu Bing has probably the most cheers from the crowd, thanks to a huge group of screaming female fans spotted in the crowd. “Most of them are our friends lah,” assured Sam again. “But we’re really thankful that they are willing to come down here every week and cheer for us, it’s a huge confidence booster.” Not to be outdone was J3’s lead guitarist Benny, who had over 20 family members come down to support him! That’s almost two soccer teams!

Sacrifices In a competition like SuperBand, where you have to perform almost every week, time is a scarce and precious commodity. Naturally, sacrifices have to be made. Said Alex from J3, “I quit my job in network marketing, so that I can give this competition my all.” And he is not the only one. The BRODS have taken countless days off from their day jobs (Choon Yang is a marketing executive and Choon Hong is a bank officer); Kai Rong from Lucify lost his admin job, and Benny from Mantou has had to play hooky from studies to do some jamming. SuperBand seems to be a competition which has turned their lives upside down. All the bands we spoke to have no regrets. “This is a once in a lifetime thing, so yeah, no regrets,” quipped Benny. Take note, SuperBand 2 wannabes!

Don’t cry for me, Argentina It can be said that a band is defined by the number of fans who scream every time a band member so much as sneezes, and the SuperBand contestants are no different. You’d have never thought an island so small could have girls who could scream so loud! As far as gifts go, sweets and chocolates seem to make staples. Of course, there are fans who go out of their way to make spectacular gifts. The BRODS brothers waxed lyrical about a memorable gift: “A fan recently made a portfolio, which she filled with pictures she took of us and wrote many letters filled with words of encouragement. It was really sweet.” J3’s Alex also received some rather girly gifts. “I got soft toys, which I hang on my keyboard bag. Also once I got sunflowers!” Here’s a list of things to get for your favourite band if you happen to be a rabid fan: “I like receiving pictures of us; I keep them in my scrapbook.” Lucify’s Zhi Wei “I had a friend who gave me necklaces and wristbands with my name engraved on them. It was really sweet!” SOUL’s Ishi “A fan once gave me a box full of assorted goodies: T-Shirts, sweets, toys, and cards. It was very memorable.” Mantou’s Benny

Secret No More! Under the constant watch of the public eye, not many stones are left unturned when it comes to the band members. But we managed to get a confession to some dirty secrets the band members kept under wraps the whole time! Here are top five of the juiciest nuggets: 1. Four of the bands agreed that eliminated band Juz-B should have stayed longer in the competition. “I feel that Juz-B was a very talented bunch of people, they were Malay and they could sing Chinese songs, which isn’t easy at all!” opined Benny of J3. 2. The origin of Lucify’s demonic sounding name is nowhere near demonic! Said Kai Rong from Lucify: “We were thinking of girls’ names for our band, some ideas were like Mandy and stuff, and we decided on Lucy. And since there are five members in our band, we wanted to be called Lucyfive. But it sounded too boy band-like, so we changed it to Lucify.”

3. J3 was originally a five-man band, and one of the original members was Project SuperStar first male runner-up Hong Junyang! The other went to Vancouver to pursue his studies. Could have been J5! 4. SOUL members all share an eerie trait: their weights are all five kilograms in difference! Weighing in at 60kg is Alfred, and next in line is Ishi at 65kg, Andy weighs in at 70kg, Justis weighs 75kg and Ashley weighs 80kg! It’s bizarre! “Oh my God!” screamed the members to add drama to the moment. But to be fair, Ashley (Awi) is MUCH taller than Alfred. 5. Looks can be deceiving! Kelvin from Lucify is apparently the slave driver of the group and can get erm…quite violent when it comes to training, even though he is the most smiley of the lot in public. “If you are caught day dreaming during a practice session, you’ll not only get a scolding, but a punch on the nose!” revealed fellow band mate Victor. No wonder all the band members looked so attentive during the interview!

Google Expands Online News Index

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- Google Inc. is expanding its online news index to include stories published years ago, continuing the Internet search leader's recent efforts to create new sales channels for long-established media while it strives to make its own Web site even more useful.

The news archive to be unveiled Wednesday includes old articles provided by a long list of media, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Time magazine and The Washington Post.

Other leading information storehouses like LexisNexis, Factiva and HighBeam, also have opened up sections of their databases to Google's expanded index.

Until now, Google's 4-year-old news search service has focused primarily on stories posted on the Web during the past 30 days.



The new archives feature will only share excerpts from stories related to users' requests, which are expected to range from seminal moments in history to minutiae about sports and science.

To see the full stories, Google's visitors will be sent to the Web sites that own the content. Those referrals figure to provide media outlets with more opportunities to charge for access to the full stories - a common practice when people want to read historical information.

"This is going to be a very good thing for us," said Vivian Schiller, senior vice president and general manager of NYTimes.com. "There is a tremendous hunger out there for our archives."

Google won't collect any commissions for the sales referrals, hoping instead to make money indirectly from increased usage of its own site - the hub of a vast advertising network that accounted for most of the company's $1.3 billion profit during the first half of this year.



The arrangement marks Google's latest attempt to demonstrate the value of its search engine to the traditional media, a segment that has sometimes railed against the Mountain View-based company for profiting from the display of content owned by others.

The friction triggered a copyright infringement lawsuit by one major news organization, Agence France-Presse, which is seeking at least $17.5 million in damages. Google has denied the allegations.

Signs of a more cordial relationship with major media have emerged during the past month as Google announced separate business deals with The Associated Press and Viacom Inc.'s MTV Networks. The search engine also is aggressively promoting a video service that allows television networks and movie studios to sell content.

The news archive service represents "a perfect example of how we can work with content providers to realize their business goals," said Jim Gerber, Google's content partnerships director.

Patrick Spain, chief executive of HighBeam Research Inc., views Google's new service as a significant breakthrough for his Chicago-based service, which charges for access to most of the 40 million articles in its database.

"We would love to have people just come to HighBeam to do all their searches in the first place, but we are not naive enough to believe that is going to happen," he said.

MiLu Bing is through to the Semi-Finals!

Congratulations to the boyish threesome for winning the Comeback Show 2! In the episode telecast last night, they beat notable competitors AMBER, QI:NOBE, Juz-B and Summer Breeze to join Lucify, SOUL, BRODS, Mantou and J3 in the Semi-Finals 1 next week where each band will perform one fast song and one slow song. Comments for the band from the judges were favourable. Xu Huanliang said that even though MiLu Bing has only three band members, they were able to exploit to the fullest their strengths, which no doubt refers to their youthful vibrancy and many ‘patterns’ on stage.

In the Result Show shown at 11.30pm yesterday, AMBER was the first to leave the stage. Drummer Shawn said on behalf of the band, “We are not surprised of the elimination. We were ecstatic to learn of this revival round not because we thought we still stand a chance, but because we were given one last opportunity to perform for the crowd. We are happy that the public is now familiar with AMBER and her music.”

Next to go was one of the hot favourites QI:NOBE. Frontman and the only Chinese in the band, Samuel, thanked the fans who voted for them in their 11 performances and was grateful that he has grown closer to his family and the band members during this period. Five-member group Summer Breeze became the next casualty. Mandy thanked not only their supporters, family, hair stylists and fashion designers, but also everyone who had criticized them before, for that had allowed them to mature.

Then the stage was empty except for Juz-B, the all-Malay a capella group and MiLu Bing. All nine musicians were locked in an impassioned tight embrace when the results were announced. MiLu Bing fans off-stage teared up at the news while QI:NOBE, AMBER and Summer Breeze gave Juz-B a rowdy applause as they walked off the stage. The smiles on their faces were evident that they had no animosity whatsoever of their elimination. The love and respect each musician had for each other was palpable; before band leader Afwan gave his final speech, he asked everyone in the audience to give a cheer to the winner. “You’re back! Jia You!” he shouted emotionally to MiLu Bing. Turning to the audience, he continued in a mixture of English and Mandarin, “We (Juz-B) gave the best that we could ever give. You enjoyed it and we enjoyed it. Thank you very much for giving us the opportunity to perform up to this point; it was amazing! Thank you, xie xie ni men! Wo ai ni!”

With the band still looking slightly in disbelief, Sam of MiLu Bing expressed his gratitude to everyone who had voted for them. “To the eliminated SuperBand contestants, we love them very much and hope that they will continue to strive hard.” Nic added, “We will miss them (the rest of the bands) very much. We spent many happy moments with them backstage and we thank them for the precious moments.” Sam attributed their success large to their youth and energy which set them apart from the other bands. As the SuperBand theme song blared out of the speakers, all the bands, eliminated and the Semi-Finalists, hugged each other and partied like there was no tomorrow.
