From 4000 hopefuls it made household names out of virtual unknowns. Attracting more than 2 million viewers, Project SuperStar’s debut series was credited for propelling winners Kelvin Tan Wei Lian & Kelly Poon to the top echelons of Singapore’s record industry when they achieved platinum record sales for their debut albums after the show.

Walking away with record deals, TV endorsements, acting opportunities and not to mention the fame that came along with it, Project SuperStar’s alumnae with the likes of Hong Jun Yang, Chew Sin Huey & Derrick Ho are also testimonies to the show’s success as a launch pad to a career in music and entertainment.

Those who missed the boat the first time round need not mope around any more as Channel U's hit singing talent show Project SuperStar, whose winning format found its way to Malaysia, is now back to fulfil your wildest dreams of becoming a recording star!

Set to air on 8 November, 2006 with the Grand Finals on 3 Feb 2007, Project SuperStar 2 will be calling for participants soon in September! All you eager beavers out there, here are the details!
